Dylan Koch Traded To San Diego; Blazers Acquire Four
The Oklahoma City Blazers and owner Jake Runey have announced that they have traded forward Dylan Koch to the San Diego Sabers and cash considerations, in exchange for forward Petr Teuber.
In separate moves, the Blazers have also acquired the signing rights to forward Vyacheslav Pinin from the Hinton Timberwolves, as well as the rights to forward Artem Popov from the West Sound Admirals, who folded earlier this season.
The Blazers also welcome back Petr Pokorny, who rejoins the Blazers after a stint in the NA3HL with the Texas RoadRunners.
Dylan Koch heads to San Diego after spending the majority of the last three seasons with the Blazers, playing in 82 career games for OKC, scoring 18 goals and 12 assists throughout his Blazers career. The 2019-20 season has been a career year for the forward, picking up 22 points and sitting in 6th in scoring.
In return for Koch, the Blazers have acquired forward Petr Teuber from the San Diego Sabers. A 2001-birthyear, Teuber made his WSHL debut in the 2018-19 season with the Casper Coyotes, scoring one point in 21 games. Joining the Sabers this season, the Czech Republic-native has 10 goals and 14 points in 37 games, good for fifth on the Sabers in scoring.
Vyacheslav Pinin split last season with the Bellingham Blazers and Hinton Wildcats, scoring 50 points in 42 games between the two teams. This season, the Russian has played for the Fort Erie Meteors of the GOJHL and the Motor City Hockey Club of the USPHL Premier, scoring 15 points in 34 games this season.
Artem Popov has been picked up from the West Sound Admirals, following their folding earlier this season. Popov made it into six games for the Admirals prior to folding, scoring two points. Following that, Popov made three appearances for the Motor City Hockey Club this season, being held scoreless. Prior to this season, Popov had also skated for the Utah Outliers and Southern Oregon Spartans in his WSHL career, scoring 35 points in 52 career WSHL games.
Petr Pokorny returns to the Blazers after having played for the Texas RoadRunners of the NA3HL. In 10 games to start the season, Pokorny picked up nine points. In his time with the RoadRunners, Pokorny picked up an additional nine points in 14 games played.
