The Oklahoma City Blazers are proud to announce their first commitment of the 2019 offseason as forward Vitali Mikhailov has committed to the ACHA Division 1 University of Central Oklahoma. A native of Cherepovets, Russia, Mikhailov made a splash this season as he led the Blazers in scoring with 49 goals and 58 assists for a total of 107 points.

Along the way, Mikhailov also tied the Western States Hockey League's all-time record for goals scored in the regular season with 136 career goals. With 114 goals in a Blazers jersey, Mikhailov broke the franchise's all-time record for goals as well.

"We would like to wish Vitali the very best at UCO as we believe will be a great fit for the Bronchos. He will be an instant game-changer and offensive threat from day one for UCO," stated Blazers head owner and head coach Gary Gill. "We also believe that under the coaching of Craig McAllister, Vitali will be able to grow even more as a player and a person."

"We are so fortunate to get a talent like Vitali," said Bronchos head coach Craig McAllister. "He has a unique set of skills that make him a threat anytime he enters the offensive zone.

"He has a chance to be a very special player in the ACHA and I'm looking forward to seeing him put on a Bronchos jersey."
